Matter of Balance is an 8-week course designed to help participants reduce their fear of falling so they can be more active. Participants will:

-Understand their own beliefs about falling
-Learn fall prevention strategies
-Practice fall prevention and ASSERTIVENESS
-Recognize fall hazards in the home and community

There will be a Franklin County Extension District Board meeting Tuesday, October 14th at 12pm.

Beginner sewing club is for youth to learn the basics of sewing and begin easy projects! 

This club is open for enrollment September - October 2025. After the October meeting, enrollment will be closed for the 2025-2026 year.

Cloverbuds is open to youth ages 5-8 years old. Cloverbuds explores all areas of 4-H throughout the year. Creating crafts, and doing different educational activities together at the extension office.

Garden Club will be growing and learning about various horticulture programs.

4-H Advanced Sewing is for youth with a greater knowledge of sewing, using patterns and advanced skills. Please contact club leader, Debi Newman, if interested in joining.

This club will allow youth to explore 4-H projects and curriculum related to life skills.

Join the Capital Area Extension Master Gardeners for an engaging lunchtime presentation with retired Kentucky State Nature Preserve botanist, Deb White. Guiding us through the fascinating world of Kentucky’s most unusual native plants. Feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy it beforehand—just be sure to have it finished by the start of the presentation at 12:00 PM. Registration is not required.
